Mrs. Susan Dearth graduated from Cincinnati Bible College, now called Cincinnati Christian University, where she majored in Bible and Church Music. She received her teaching certificate and a Master's Degree in Education from Mount St. Joseph. Mrs. Dearth often takes education classes and currently has 30 hours above a Master's Degree. Mrs. Dearth has taught Fifth Grade at HCS since 1999.
Mrs. Dearth writes:
I love teaching fifth grade. It is a wonderful age. I enjoy digging into literature and working with the students on fractions and parts of speech. I try to teach the children to love God, be responsible, and work hard. I strive to instill study habits that will last them a lifetime. I also try to make learning fun with many games and wild and crazy days.
HCS is a special place. Everyone is family here. It is awesome to be able to teach in an environment where God is honored on a daily basis.
