Gym Club Begins

Gym Club is a time of fellowship for all 4th through 8th graders. They will have snacks and play different FUN games all oriented for their age. The program starts immediately after school on Monday March 12th and is over at 4:15. PLEASE DON’T BE LATE PICKING YOUR CHILD UP! We will meet each Monday through the end of April.

At the end of the program is scheduled a “Gym Club Lock-in.” This is when the kids come for an evening of games and flashlight tag. More information on the lock-in will be sent home in April.

Sign your child up for $20, which helps cover the cost of snacks and the LOCK IN.

Register Early for a Discount on Next Years Fees

All returning students for the 2012-2013 School year can get a discount on the registration fees if you sign up early.

Jan 19 – April 2 $ 50.00 per student.

April 2 – May 15 $100.00 per student.

May 16 – June 15 $ 150.00 per student.

After June 15 $250.00 per student.

The tuition remains the same as this year.

Next Late Start is February 8th

Southwest Local School District, which HCS is a part of, is requiring that SCHOOL STARTS LATE on Wednesday, March 14th. The students must be dropped off between 9:30 and 9:50. Remember, the pick up time of 3:15 has not changed.

The remaining last start is May 9th.

Please remember that Harrison Christian School is part of the Southwest School District. To find out HCS’S status listen for the SW Local Schools District on your morning news on days where there is snow and ice on the roads.

Scholarship Committee (Tuition Assistance) News

The sole purpose of the Scholarship Committee (Tuition Assistance Program) is to raise funds to help families with tuition fees when money is tight. We do not decide who receives the money (Facts Management does), and we never see the applications. The amounts we give are $1,100 per child, and $1,600 for 2 children, with a maximum of $2,000 per family.

Jeannie Sherman will be heading up Dodgeball/Kickball again. The form will be coming home soon. This session will last 4 weeks, and the time is Mondays, from 3:15 to 4:45. There are 4 weeks in a session, and the cost is $30, which includes a drink and a snack. Have your children join in the fun and games with Mrs. Sherman, who really knows how to have fun while exercising!

Testing Dates are in April and May

Harrison Christian School’s Achievement Testing Dates are:

OAT (Ohio Achievement) for Grades 3 through 8… April 23rd through 27th

Terra Nova Testing for Grades K – 8th… May 7th through 11th.

We are requesting that all Students included in the tests be at school on time each day. Thank you.

Dodge ball/Kickball with Mrs. Sherman

Sign up sheets are going home for Jeannie Sherman’s Dodge ball/Kick ball. The children will stay after school each Monday from 3:15 to 4:45 for this session. The cost is $30 for 4 weeks of fun. This includes and snack and a drink!

Be sure to be at the school by 4:45 to pick up your children. HCS Tuition Assistance Program will be getting the profit from this activity.

Bible Quizzers going to Quiz Finals

Our next 2 Bible Quizzes are on January 28th and February 25th. We have some teams going to the LITTLE LEAGUE WORLD BIBLE QUIZ FINANALS in Chicago, IL on March24th.
